Overview

Savings Banks Group (Säästöpankkiryhmä) is Finland's oldest banking group, tracing its roots to the first Finnish savings bank founded in 1822. It comprises around 15 independent local savings banks together with central entities including the Savings Banks' Union Coop, the Central Bank of Savings Banks Finland Plc and Sp Mortgage Bank. The group serves roughly 450,000–470,000 household, SME and farm customers with retail banking, home loans, savings and investment, life insurance and Sp-Koti real estate services.
